The October 2013 Maui Real Estate Sales Statistics are out from the Realtors Association of Maui. The $545,000 median price of a single family home sold in October was much higher than $470,000 a month earlier and $485,000 in October of 2012.

The $360,000 condo median sales price was also higher than the $347,500 of September 2013, and the $349,995 median of October a year earlier.

Land sales are looking up – although the RAM report always says that “land lots ales are such a small sampling that statistics in this property calss are not necessarily reliable indicators.” There were 23 lots closed in October 2013, way more than double the 9 in October of 2012.

Year-to-date (YTD) things are also looking strong. So far, 829 homes sold from 1/1/2013 through 10/31/13 (up 8% from same time frame a year ago). YTD, the median home price is up 15% to $532,500. Similarly in condo sales, there have been 1120 closings so far this year, up 11% from same time frame last year. The median sales price is up 7% to $375,000 compared to same time frame a year ago. Land sales are up 39% YTD to 174 lots sold so far in 2013.
