Thomas George Delmore of Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii, passed away on December 1st, 2023 at the age of 80 in the loving presence of his wife and children, at Maui Memorial Medical Center.

Tom was born on August 30, 1943 to William and Dorothy Delmore in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Tom was a real estate broker for more than three decades and started Delmore Realty in 1992. He worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 19 years before embarking on his real estate career. A job transfer brought him to Hawaii 50 years ago in 1973. Tom graduated from the University of Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. Army for four years, and was stationed in Thailand and South Korea, where he met his wife.

Tom was a dedicated family man and was deeply involved with his childrens’ and grandchildrens’ activities, including swimming, where he volunteered his time with their clubs and swim association. He participated in football and track in his youth. As an adult, Tom ran marathons and road races and still went walking seven days a week. Tom enjoyed watching sports, and loved to follow professional and college teams from his birth state.

Tom is survived by his wife of 51 years, Young Delmore; daughter, Kimberly (Shane Fukuda) Delmore; sons, Brian Delmore, Kevin (Christy Ramos) Delmore; grandchildren, Madison, Austin, Ledge, Kaila, Reign; sisters Cindy (John) Leary, Janet (Tim) MacFarlan; best friend, Bruce (Evelyn) Bowman.

Tom was predeceased by his parents; brother, William Delmore; sisters, Ann Delmore,  Jeanne (Kenneth) Bohn.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului. Public visitation will be held from 10 – 11 am, and the service will begin at 11 am.

Niche burial will be at 9 am the following day, Friday, January 19, 2024 at Maui Veterans Cemetery in Makawao.
